This is a reminder that we do not tolerate berating our Riverside coaches, either in person or on social media. This behavior is a direct violation of our Spectator Policy, which every parent received at the mandatory OHSAA/Riverside meeting.
Our coaches and players deserve a safe environment to compete. We understand that disagreements with coaches or referees can happen. However, as a community, we must handle these situations in a way that builds everyone up, rather than tears them down. This kind of behavior is why it's becoming so difficult to find willing coaches and officials—and a serious shortage of officials exists within the OHSAA.
We expect our students to be kind and respectful to one another, and we ask the same from all members of our Pirate Community. Remember that you are role models for our students, teaching them how to handle challenging situations with good sportsmanship.
Go Pirates!
