Important: Temporary Dismissal and Traffic Changes (Next Two Weeks)
Dear Parents/Guardians,
This message is to inform you of temporary changes to our afternoon dismissal procedures for the next two weeks, starting [Start Date, Monday, October 27th] through [End Date, Friday, November 7th].
These changes are necessary due to essential construction and asphalt work taking place on our back driveways and parking lot areas. For safety, these areas will be inaccessible during dismissal.
Key Dismissal Changes (Next Two Weeks)
1. No Early Dismissal
Unlike a single-day construction event we had last year, we will not be adjusting the school day length or dismissing students ten minutes early. We are committed to maximizing instructional time, and a ten-day change would result in too much missed class time. Dismissal will occur at the regular scheduled time.
2. New Pick-Up Location: Main Entrance Only
All afternoon student pick-ups—both car riders and bus riders—will now take place at our main front entrance/circle drive. Please follow these new procedures:
Bus Students: Buses will be parked along the right-hand sidewalk of the main circle drive. Bus students will exit the building and proceed along the angled sidewalk directly to their assigned bus.
Car Pick-Up Students: Parents picking up students should enter the circle drive, and students will be directed to the left-hand sidewalk to meet their rides. Please be patient and follow the directions of staff members directing traffic.
We anticipate slower traffic flow, particularly on the first few days. We ask for your patience, caution, and adherence to staff instructions to ensure a safe and smooth process for all our students.
Thank you for your understanding as we complete this necessary improvement project.

Seniors participating in golf, cross country, volleyball, marching band, football, and cheer need to be at the track by 6:00 pm with their parents. Presentation of the Seniors will start at 6:15. This is going to be an exciting night!

Pirates of the Week for Oct.13th

A New Era for Riverside! 🌟
With the track lines finally painted last week, we are proud to announce the full completion of our stunning new field turf and track facility! Veterans Memorial Stadium has never looked better!
The field has already been a huge success, hosting our Varsity, Junior Varsity, Junior High, and Peewee football teams this fall. This spring, our track and field athletes will have an incredible new surface to call home.
These facilities don't just look beautiful; they represent our commitment to providing the best possible environment for all our students to thrive.
If you haven't seen the facility yet, come check it out next Friday on Senior Night when our football team hosts Miami East! Go Pirates!
