FUN FACT... 1st Graders LOVE Math!! 💙👍

On Thursday, 1st graders listened to the story of the Three Little Pigs, used puppets to retell the story, and collaborated with their team to build a sturdy house capable of withstanding the huffing and puffing of that big bag wolf! 💙❤️

SUMMER SCHOOL FUN with FIRST GRADERS💙❤️

1st Graders shared ways to help our environment. One little guy drew a dinosaur (we had also talked about endangered & extinct animals). When he shared his writing with his peers, he said he uses clay to make his dinos then REUSES the clay for new creations!! Way to go!!! 💙❤️

Today we explored the underwater world and submarines 🌊🐟🐠 We also used prediction skills for sink or float activity.

We are learning about the environment and world around us in summer camp this year! Today we are discussing water and how it helps plants, animals and people!

L❤️💙K at all the TREASURES the Elementary Student Council bought for the PIRATE Cove Stores to start off this year!! We worked basketball concessions to raise the money to buy $1018 worth of prizes for our students to buy with money earned for good behavior!!

Riverside Summer Camp Reminder!!! Summer Camp will begin on Monday, July 21st. Drop off is at 8 A.M. and pick up is at 2:30 in front of the building by the office doors. Monday's menu will be chicken nuggets, green beans and fruit cocktail! We are so excited to see all of you that signed up!!! Bus drivers will be contacting you about pick up times by Friday. This parent meeting and fall team meetings are REQUIRED for all athletes and their parent(s) that are playing a sport this fall at Riverside in grades 7-12. The parent meeting will take place in the auditeria; the team meetings will take place immediately following the parent meeting in other meeting rooms. The Riverside JH Girls' basketball open gym scheduled for this Wednesday, July 9, has been cancelled.
