Today was an important day for Student Council members as they teamed up with Riverside staff to help host the annual Veterans Day breakfast and assembly. These students help to set up up the gymnasium for the guests, slide show, and special music. They also hold the doors, welcome our guests, and help to get them signed in. During the breakfast, these students pass out breakfast trays, drinks, and gifts. A couple of the members volunteer to speak and run the agenda for the assembly. Also, then of course all of these students worked together to tear everything down in a timely manner before heading back to class. Riverside is thankful for this group of students that help to make Veterans Day special!
The Partnership for Literacy committee is having a literacy challenge for students in grades kindergarten through third. Earn some money to use in the school store by this Friday.
Riverside hosted over 60 guests for the Veterans Day Breakfast and Assembly. Guests were entertained by both Elementary and High school choirs during their special breakfast. On their walk to the gymnasium, Veterans were applauded by the elementary students. During the assembly, Mike Yoder presented a flag to Curt Fry on behalf of the Logan County Commissioners. Then students and vistors were blessed to hear from guest speaker Sergant Major Binkley from Delphos, Ohio. The assembly wrapped up with perfomances from the Majesty Quartet and the Riverside band. Thank you to all who participated, it was a blessed morning.
The Elementary Food Drive will accept donations tomorrow due to the school cancellation. We CAN make a difference together!! ❤️💙

*The HS boys basketball scrimmage tonight at Riverside is still being played. The scrimmage starts at 5:00 pm and will take place in the HS and JH gym.
