Student Council started the fundraiser today to help raise money to send to United Way to help with the Indian Lake Tornado Fund. Students have two more days to donate, and then on Friday the students that gave the most money will have the opportunity to throw a pie at the staff members that have the most money in their jars. Thank you to those that sent money already today, and a BIG thank you to the staff that volunteered to have a pie thrown at them.

Summer enrichment deadline.

My Kinders are HOPPING into Spring Break ready for fun & making sure the learning doesn't stop with their Earn to Learn Choice Board! Yesterday two of my kiddos sent me pics/videos of their adventure & retelling of a story they read. Make lots of memories, be safe, & have fun! ❤️

When the students return from spring break, they will have the opportunity to participate in a fundraiser put on by Jr. High and High School Student Council from April 2nd-5th to send money to United Way to support Indian Lake Tornado Relief. All students will have the opportunity to give money throughout the week that will be added in a jar of their choice that contains the name of a Riverside Staff member they would like to see get a pie in the face! On April 5th, the staff with the most money in their jar will be presented on Friday for a group of students to splatter them with pies!
This is a fun way to allow our students and community to help out such a serious situation. Any questions, please message Darcie Jenkins by going to the Riverside website, click on staff, and then her name.

RIVERSIDE ATHLETICS: MARCH 25-APRIL 1, 2025

RIVERSIDE ATHLETIC SCHEDULE UPDATE
Saturday, March 23, 2024: The varsity softball and varsity baseball doubleheaders at Ridgemont are cancelled.

Dear parents,
When schools give students access to devices and online accounts, an incredible world of learning opportunities opens up — as well as potential dangers. Digital safety is critically important to Riverside Local Schools, which is why we are now using Bark for Schools to help us protect our students both online and in real life.
Bark monitors for signs of potential issues like:
Cyberbullying
Suicidal ideation
Sexual predators
Threats of violence
And more
Alerts at the first signs of danger
When possible dangers arise on school-issued accounts, Bark for Schools sends us alerts so we can address the situation in a timely manner. These alerts also give us insights that help us promote the wellness of the entire student body.
Sign up to get alerts with Parent Portal
Kids use their school-issued accounts both at school and at home, and families are often in a better position to respond to urgent alerts after hours, on weekends, and during breaks. In the coming days, parents of students grades 5-12 will receive an invitation to create your free account for the Bark for Schools Parent Portal. This is optional. As soon as you opt-in, you’ll be able to receive after-hours alerts if Bark detects potentially time-sensitive issues.

For the FFA's food drive this week to support the Indian Lake community, Mr. Bodenmiller, our HS Math teacher challenged his 1st period class (of 8 students) to bring in 300 items in 2 days. Their reward (other than the positive feelings of being kind and charitable) would be that he would shave his face for the first time since 2018. As you can see, the results are shown below. In 2 days they brought in 319 items and the final count today is up to 350. Granted this might not have been the best lesson in community support or that you don't have to receive something in order to be giving, but sometimes a little motivation is all you need!
P.S. he is currently accepting donations of warm/fuzzy scarves so that he will be able to make it through "Spring" Break.

K-6 Talent Show Info coming home today or tomorrow 😃 spring break is a great time to practice and prepare 😃

Riverside Seniors visited the Career Expo today. This event was originally scheduled to be at Indian Lake High School but was moved to Bellefontaine after the disaster. Approximately 70 employers were present. Big Shout-Outs to everyone who made sure this could still happen ♥️

Several seniors ate lunch today with the Kiwanis to celebrate their Senior of the Month accomplishments. Sam King, Ava Klingler, Emma Saylor, and Hailey Noggler represented Riverside today.
