L❤️💙K at all the TREASURES the Elementary Student Council bought for the PIRATE Cove Stores to start off this year!! We worked basketball concessions to raise the money to buy $1018 worth of prizes for our students to buy with money earned for good behavior!!

Riverside Summer Camp Reminder!!! Summer Camp will begin on Monday, July 21st. Drop off is at 8 A.M. and pick up is at 2:30 in front of the building by the office doors. Monday's menu will be chicken nuggets, green beans and fruit cocktail! We are so excited to see all of you that signed up!!! Bus drivers will be contacting you about pick up times by Friday. This parent meeting and fall team meetings are REQUIRED for all athletes and their parent(s) that are playing a sport this fall at Riverside in grades 7-12. AHOY, PIRATES! To prepare for the new school year, the Neff family will be passing out 50 book bags stuffed full with school supplies at the Pines in Quincy on August 2nd @2 pm. It will be first come first serve. THANK YOU, Neff Family, for your generosity!! 💙❤️

On 8/27/25 from 12pm to 1pm, the Second Harvest Food Truck will be at the Riverside School based Community Clinic. They will also have some personal hygiene items, new socks, underwear, t-shirts etc...

Save the date: Ohio sales tax holiday savings opportunity. Two-week sales tax holiday provides relief to families Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is encouraging Ohioans to take advantage of this year’s sales tax holiday, which is intended to provide meaningful savings for families across the state. During the sales tax holiday, which takes place from Friday, Aug. 1, to Thursday, Aug. 14, shoppers will be able to make qualifying purchases both in-store and online without paying state sales tax, with certain exemptions. In 2024, Governor DeWine and the Ohio General Assembly expanded the sales tax holiday to include more items and to run for a longer period. Instead of the previous period of three days, it lasted 10 days and was expanded to include a wide range of items up to $500, rather than limiting the sales tax exemption to school supplies. This year’s sales tax holiday lasts two full weeks. Learn more about eligible items on the Ohio Department of Taxation’s website.

And that's a wrap! Today marks the end of her 20 years of service at Riverside Local Schools. You are loved and will be dearly missed by many friends than became family. We look forward to seeing you at all the ball games and hopeful to have you volunteer your time here with us (after the thrill of retirement wears off). You'll always be a Pirate, Janice!
