RIVERSIDE ATHLETIC BOOSTERS: SHOT FOR THE JACKPOT
**WE HAVE A WINNER**
Tuesday was the final night for the Riverside Athletic Boosters' SHOT FOR THE JACKPOT. Three lucky tickets were pulled for the Jackpot shooting contest. The 3 people that had their tickets drawn were Clint Armbruster, Gregg Jackson, and Dennis Sanford. In the first round, all three had a chance to shoot a half-court shot for the Jackpot. Amazingly, after going the whole season without anyone making a half-court shot, Clint stepped up and sank the shot and Gregg followed by hitting the shot also, with Dennis missing his attempt. Clint then won the Jackpot by sinking his 2nd consecutive half-court shot as Gregg missed his 2nd attempt.
Clint won the Jackpot worth $1419. Thank you to Clint for donating $100 of the Jackpot back to the boosters.
The Boosters would like to thank everyone for their great support of the Shot for the Jackpot throughout the season. After selling a record number of raffle tickets at the game, the total profit for the boosters for the season was $1949. The boosters would also like to thank all of the winners throughout the season that donated their $25 back to the boosters.
Dennis, Clint, and Gregg are shown in the picture.
Stay tuned for a different version of this contest during the fall football season and the Shot for the Jackpot will return for the 2025/26 basketball season.
**You can watch the final Shot for the Jackpot on You Tube; search for Riverside Pirates Athletics; The contest is at halftime of the varsity game video vs. Milton-Union.
GO PIRATES!
