
The Riverside bowling team competed in the Holiday Baker Classic at TP lanes on Tuesday. The girls finished 11th; The boys led through the whole day. They defeated Wapak, Indian Lake, and Washington Court House to win the championship! The team averaged a 201 for 16 baker games.


The Lady Pirates defeated Ridgemont 54-17. Emma Saylor had 16 points and 7 rebounds, Avery Perk had 12 points, Reaghan McDaniel scored 11 points; Ayva Stewart had 7 points and 5 assists, Jade Copas had 9 rebounds and 6 assists, Zoie Armbruster had 9 rebounds.

My 1st graders participated in a gift exchange. They drew names, wrote letters to their unknown friend about their likes, and exchanged gifts today. Prior to the exchange, we read Christmas Makes Me Think, discussed our gifts today were tokens of love, and wrote thank yous. ❤️💚





7th Grade Lady Pirates
Beat Ben Logan 29-17; Kenzie Stotler had 21 points.
Beat Milton-Union 30-16; Kenzie Stotler had 21 points, Molly Carman had 5 points.
The 7th Grade Lady Pirates are now 6-3 and 5-2 in the TRC.



8th Grade Lady Pirates
Beat Ben Logan 21-19; Kenna Johnson and Miah Carman each had 7 points.
Beat Milton-Union 22-18; Kenna Johnson had 13 points and Miah Carman had 9 points.
The 8th grade Lady Pirates are now 9-0 and 7-0 in the TRC.



The varsity Lady Pirates defeated Houston on Monday, 66-51. Ayva Stewart had 17 points, 6 assists, 4 steals; Reaghan McDaniel hit 5 3-pointers to finish with 15 points; Emma Saylor had 14 points and 14 rebounds; Avery Perk had 9 points; Zoie Armbruster had 6 points.




4th Grade Musical Skits Today





The Riverside Lady Pirates play at Ridgemont this Thursday, December 22. This will be a varsity game only and the start time has been changed to a 5:00 p.m. start.

Mrs. Core’s 3rd Grade Continued





Mrs. Core’s Third Grade brought many costumes and props for their Musical Skits today!





More fun with Musical Theatre Skits in 4th Grade today.





The second grade students enjoyed having Mrs. Shipp come in to the classroom to read “Charlie Brown’s Christmas.”





Where in the World Day was enjoyed by the first graders as we learned about South America. We crafted, feasted on a type of fruit cake we made, and tasted tamalas. To conclude our festivities, we paraded down the hallways wearing masks and waving streamers.





On Friday, December 16th, Captain Nautical visited Mrs. Otting’s fifth graders. ❤️🏴☠️💙


Where in the World Day! Kindergarten is focused on North America so we traveled to Mexico for Los Posadas Celebration with Maracas!




Come celebrate Christmas on the beach in Australia!!





The second graders had a blast learning about how Christmas is celebrated in Australia!! They enjoyed making a beach in a bottle, creating sand castles, and playing math games with beach balls!!





Congratulations to the 2023 Riverside Snowball Queen, King, and Court! The 2023 Snowball Queen is Jade Copas and the 2023 Snowball King is Aaron Scheeler. The court includes (pictured left to right) Sophomores Brianna Brandyberry and Braylon Dunn, Juniors Savanna Salo and Reece Jenkins, Queen Jade Copas, King Aaron Scheeler, Seniors Briana Bradley and Isaiah Lloyd, and Freshman Shaye McGill and Carston Bell. Not pictured are Snowball Princess Charlotte Hodge, daughter of Tyler and Alyssa Hodge, and Snowball Prince Logan Switzer, son of Kristen and Jack Switzer. The Snowball Game will be held on Friday, January 6th against Covington. The court will be presented between the JV and Varsity game. The dance will be held on Saturday, January 7th.
