Elementary Yearbook
If you ordered an Elementary yearbook it will be delivered this summer and handed out at Open House on August 21st. If you do not attend this event I will give it to your child's homeroom teacher so they can take home the first day of school. If you ordered a yearbook and your child will not be attending Riverside for the 23-24 school year please contact the office.
The second graders had a blast at the carnival!!!
Big Thanks to Mr. Hodge and Mr. Knight for their help. They replaced the wifi access point by the baseball field. You guys rock!

Riverside Local Schools had the honor to host Governor Mike DeWine today. Governor DeWine visited because Riverside Elementary has been using an evidence based reading curriculum, along with best instructional practices that are aligned to the Science of Reading. Governor DeWine's goal is for every student in Ohio to be a proficient reader. His plan is for all Ohio schools to use evidence based reading programs that are aligned to the Science of Reading, to help improve Early Childhood Literacy. We were honored to have Governor DeWine as our guest, he was able to visit Mrs. Easton's class, as well as Mrs. Mann's class. It was an awesome day at Riverside!

Varsity Baseball at Troy Christian: cancelled; rescheduled for Tuesday, May 16 at Troy Christian at 5:00 p.m.
Varsity Softball at home with Miami East is still being played.
Varsity track at TRC Meet at Northridge is still on.

6th graders were competing in the Amazing Race by completing activities on each leg of the race. Students traveled to Italy, Kenya, and Japan in their learning adventure!

The second graders packed their suitcases and took a trip to Australia!! They visited Kangaroo Island, Kata Tjuda National Park, Sydney Opera House, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. They had a lot of fun learning about these exciting places!!!
