Riverside will be hosting our annual Veterans Day breakfast and assembly on Monday, November 13. Breakfast will start at 8:30 a.m., and then the assembly will follow around 9 a.m. Visitors are asked to park in the staff parking lot and come through the doors by the high school gym. Please share this information with loved ones and members of the community.

This week my class celebrated Parker as our Pirate of the Week!! Today during his Show and Tell, he was joined by his mom and dad. Here you see his dad talking to us about their crawdad trap, showing us a live crawdad, and explaining how and why they catch them.

Cody Craig and Faith Brownlee represented Riverside today at the Kiwanis Luncheon as the October Seniors of the Month.

It's Staff Spotlight day. Today the spotlight falls on Mrs. Harshbarger. She spends her day keeping all of us on track and organized. She always has a smile on her face and goes out of her way to help everyone. We love that she is part of our Pirate family. Thank You Mrs. Harshbarger for all you do for all of us!!!
1. Job title and description of what you do.
-I am the Elementary Administrative Assistant. My job consists of answering phone calls, student attendance, answering doors, setting up meetings, getting substitute teachers, organizing events and last but not least, keeping Mr. Hodge on track;) I also coach HS Football Cheer.
2. How long with Riverside?
-This is my 6th year at Riverside. My first year I was a Paraprofessional. I have been the Administrative Assistant for 5 years.
3. Family
- I have been with my husband Jacob Hashbarger for 14 years. We have 2 sons together, Brayden 12 and Cole 7. Both attend Riverside. I have a step-daughter Hailee Harshbarger. She is currently attending Bowling Green University majoring in fashion design.
4. Hobbies
- My hobbies consist of running both boys to and from all their sporting events. I also help out the Riverside Little Pirates with secretary duties. I love spending time with my family and when I get a chance to relax I love to watch movies.
5. Favorites (food, holiday, etc)
- My favorite holiday would have to be 4th of July. There is nothing better than being outside having a BBQ and watching fireworks with your friends and family.
6. Best Co-workers why?
- I honestly love everyone I work with. Everyone feels more like family than just co-workers. But if I had to pick someone it would have to be Angie Shoe. She has taught me so much in the last 5 years. We work great together and I wouldn’t be the secretary I am today without her.
What is it about Riverside that makes you want to stay a Pirate.
- My kids are reason #1. Reason #2 is the love and support our Administration gives us. Without them I wouldn’t have such amazing/ fun people to work with.
This Friday is a BIG game, and we wanted to remind everyone to come early to celebrate our Fall Senior Athletes. They will gather at the track around 6:00pm. Even though golf and volleyball have already held their own announcements, these Seniors will be included also for the whole community to acknowledge.
