Riverside Powerlifters Break Meet Records
The Riverside Powerlifting Team competed at the Tri-Village High School Powerlifting meet in New Madison, Ohio on Saturday Jan 19th. There were approximately 250 lifters fromOhioas well as fromRichmond,Indthat competed.
Riverside Girls
Ashtyn Defibaugh - took 1st place in the 115lbs class- 11th-12th grade - she also broke the meet record in the deadlift.
Bailey Leonard - took 7th place in the 125lbs class - 9th-10th grade
Ashton Wooddell - took 3rd place in the 135lbs class - 9th-10th grade
Alexa Klinger - took 5th place in the 125lbs class - 9th-10th grade
Kelsey Barney - took 4th place in the 175lbs class 9th-10th grade
Taylor Goings - took 2nd place in the 175lbs class 11th-12th grade
Riverside Boys
Zach Ford and Greg Bryant - did very well as 8th grade boys competing in the 9th-10th grade division
Mike Schaffer - took 1st place in the 135lbs class - 11th-12th grade
Kyle Plank- took 1st place in the 155lbs class - 11th - 12th grade - Kyle also broke the meet record on his 3rd attempt and then broke his own record on his 4th attempt in the deadlift
Austin Glasgow - took 3rd place in the 155lbs class 11th-12 grade -Austinalso broke the meet record in the benchpress
CollinHarbour- took 5th place in the 175lbs class 9th-10th grade
Chris Cox - took 1st place in the 175lbs class 11th-12 - Chris also broke the deadlift meet record
John Tully - took 2nd place in the 195lbs class - 11th-12th grade
Zach Stewart - took 1st place in the 225lbs class - 11th-12th grade - Zach also broke the meet record in the benchpress
