These scholarships are available to anyone who lives in the state of Ohio.
DP&L and Vectron Energy Leadership Scholarship
Dayton Power & Light and Vectron will present the Energy Leadership Scholarship to (3) three students this year.  Three $1,000 awards will be granted for use for college tuition and expenses to deserving students who have demonstrated outstanding energy leadership, knowledge, and interest in continuing their energy studies for the purpose of seeking a career in an energy field or public service related to energy.  The scholarships will be facilitated by the Ohio Energy Project, a non-profit energy education organization.  For more information visit  
E.B. Miller Memorial Scholarship
This program offers financial assistance to students pursuing a forest resource education. Currently, one or more scholarships are offered each year to Ohio high school graduates who have been accepted into an approved university, college, junior college or technical university offering a forest resource curriculum. Ohio Association for Gifted Children
Each year OAGC offers scholarships to K-12 Ohio students for special activities that extend their special talent/interest areas. This is popular for summer opportunities.

The Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars Program (JKC YS) is a highly competitive national scholarship program that is open for academically talented 7th-graders. If awarded, the scholar will be given academic and financial support through high school and college.

Ohio Oil & Gas Energy Education Program Scholarship

The OOGEEP scholarship is open to High School Seniors who are interested in a career in the crude oil and natural gas industry.  This scholarship is $1000. Download scholarship information here

Pioneer Electric Cooperative Scholarship
Pioneer Electric Cooperative’s annual scholarship competition for high school seniors consists of two $2000 scholarships (one boy and one girl) and two $1500 scholarships (one boy and one girl) to students from their service area. In addition, the recipients of the top awards are then eligible to compete for scholarships from the Ohio Electric Cooperatives. OEC gives nine scholarships in both the boys’ and girls’. Quest Federal Credit Union Scholarship
Quest Federal Credit Union is offering (6) $500.00 scholarships for those high school students who will be continuing their education following graduation. Visit for eligibilty requirements.
William D. Squires Scholarship
The William D. Squires Scholarship Educational Foundation, Inc. is offereing a total of fifteen $3,000 scholarships to Ohio seniors.  The scholarship is renewable with a value of up to $12,000.  For more scholarship info visit
